Good Friday

I fall to my knees in awe of your love. I cry out for the pain in the world.

I rededicate myself to serve love.

I distance myself from the rhetoric of bitterness, of judgment, of cynicism.

To act out against horror, oppression, and injustice.

To weep in the places of sorrow, the ends of the Earth for which we have so little care and so much judgment.

To respond lovingly and defiantly in the face of hatred. To disarm in the face of violence. To pacify in the face of war. To calm in the face of a storm.

To affirm the humanity of the poor and the dignity of the disadvantaged.

For a global community of peace and respect. A brotherhood of man.

I aspire to help others find hope. To overcome, for love to win.
